Sustainable Organic Farmers Association (SOFA) is a youth-led organization founded by Nephine Nyagaka in 2024. SOFA empowers smallholder farmers through organic farming, policy advocacy, and capacity building, promoting sustainable agricultural practices that conserve soil, agrobiodiversity, and livelihoods. The organization was established while its founder was pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Extension at Meru University of Science and Technology.
By 2030, a food-secure nation led by organic farming initiatives reducing hunger, improving environmental sustainability.
To promote organic farming and sustainable agricultural practices for food security, environmental conservation, and community empowerment.
